Simon Sinek famously said, "People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it." And what gets your creative booty out of bed in the morning, is going to be your vision, mission, and goals. So in week 1, that's exactly what we'll cover.
At the end of Week 1, you'll know your:

Where week 1 was all about why you do what you do, week 2 is all about how you do it. This is all about your mission, your values, and your unique approach to your products or services, AKA, what's important to you in business and creativity.
When Week 2's done, you'll have your:
• Unique approach
You wanna sell your products and/or services, so we've gotta find people to buy 'em! That's why your audience get a whole week dedicated to them, so we can get to know them, understand their needs, dreams, and desires, and make a plan for connecting with them!
In Week 3, we'll cover your:
• Audience archetype
• Ideal client/customer avatar
• Client/customer experience
People connect to people, and your personality is what makes you shine. So to get you speaking up and shining bright, we've gotta know who you are and what makes your personality so magical. That's all about what you say, how you say it, and where you say it!
You'll leave week 4 with your:
• Voice & tone
• Content pillars & platforms
• Brand wordbank & you-isms
There are a bunch of creatives doing their thing out in the world, so how do you stand out? That's what we're figuring out in week 5. We'll cover what makes you different, how your work is so spesh, and come up with a plan for sharing that all with the world!
In Week 5, we're diving into your:
• Unique selling proposition
• Strengths & zones of genius
A picture is worth a thousand words, so to communicate all of the magical things about your brand, we've got to present your brand in all the right ways. We'll turn your strategy into a visual identity that's unique, attractive, and aligned with your brand.
After Week 6, you'll have your:
• Emotional impact
• Visual direction & moodboard
• Colour palette
The strategy process is one that takes time, attention, and a personalised approach. I want to be able to give you and the others in our group all three of these things so that you leave with a strategy that is uniquely yours and extraordinarily impactful. So we're capping the group at 5 creatives max.
Each week you'll get a workbook full of questions, prompts and activities that will draw out the magic behind your brand. Depending on the topic of the week, you'll uncover different parts of your brand that will come together to create your strategy.
When you've done your weekly strategy work, we'll come together for a strategy workshop just like I run with my 1:1 clients where we'll ask questions, delve deeper, and really find out what's at the core of each part of your brand.
At the halfway point and at the end, we'll spend a week bringing your strategy together, so you've got time to catch up, get feedback, implement changes, and make sure everything's ready for you to put into action! We'll have a call these weeks too!
After our workshop, I'll provide detailed, personalised feedback on your work for the week. Need advice on your audience, comments on your content pillars, or musings on your mission? You send it through, I'll work my magic, and we'll crack it together!
The whole goal of this program is for you to leave with an actionable brand strategy that you can use on the regular. To make that easy as, you'll get a template so that you can quickly pop your strategy in at the end of each week, customise the look, and leave with a complete, comprehensive plan!
Throughout the process and for 3 months after, we'll have a private community to connect in. You’ll be able to chat with your four fellow members and yours truly! Conversations, celebrations, feedback, and accountability galore! P.S. Also a bunch of GIFs. You’ve found your people.
My goal in life is to spend my days coaching creatives and working on my own creative practice: hand lettering & typography.
My love of letters is ingrained in my DNA - my Dad and Granddad were both printmakers by trade, working with type to layout newspapers, books, and magazines.
I inherited their passion and throughout my design degree, letters were my freakin’ JAM. I even went back to uni to teach typography to other students, taught my own typography and lettering workshops, had exhibitions of my work, and sold my prints online.
As a creative with an art practice just like you, I understand everything about the creative process and the journey of turning your passion into your profession.
Now it’s my mission to help you do just that and teach you from a place of experience, understanding, and empathy. Trust me, friend – I know where you’re at, I’ve been there, and I’m here to help!
The next cohort will be in 2023 and will go for 8 weeks!
First, we'll both do a celebratory boogie! Then you'll get instant access to your hub, which is the home for all of our weekly workbooks, downloadable resources, links to group coaching calls, instructions for submitting your work for feedback, and your invite to the private Slack group. I’m in there chatting away, answering all your questions and celebrating your successes throughout the program.
The weekly calls will likely be at 2pm on Tuesdays NZT, although we'll confirm this as a group to make sure everyone can make it. There will be recordings but since these calls are active workshops, you'll get the most out of it if you can make it live.
You'll have access to the course material for the 8 weeks of our program, and stay in the private group chat for 3 months after so we can keep supporting you while you put your strategy into action!
This mastermind is focused on brand strategy, but week 7 will be all about working on the visual direction of your brand. So we won't actually be designing logos or creating social media graphics for example, but we will be finding inspiration, curating moodboards, and generally directing what your brand will look like. Week 8 is an implementation week where you might choose to start working on your visual identity and get our feedback on it though!
We'll meet every week via Zoom for our weekly workshop. Between then, you'll have access to our private Slack channel where you can submit work for feedback, we'll check in on your progress, and work together with the group so you can get things done!
